Q: Why should I take my car to you guys if the local carwash can do it quicker and for much less?

A: We hand wash our cars, and use the least invasive method of washing cars in order to preserve and not harm the paint (unlike carwashes). We treat your car like our own and do the best we can to preserve your paint.

Q: Are automatic carwashes bad for my paint?

A: Yes, Carwashes are generic, dirty things that see a lot of traffic, meaning a lot of dirt. The grit that comes off the cars gets stuck in the brushes and machines they use to clean off your car, leaving swirls in the paint. Would you like your paint to come into contact with everything that just got washed off the dumptruck in front of you?

Touchless carwashes are just as bad. They use harsh chemicals that will strip your existing wax/sealant that you have on your car at the time. They also recycle the water, which means that you still get swirls and water spots.

No carwash is good for your car, even though it is cheap.

Q: Swirls? What are swirls and why are they bad for my paint?

A: Swirls are little scratches that diffuse the light on your car and make it look dull. At JC Detail, we work hard to get swirls out of your car and prevent it from getting more so your car looks better than when it rolled off the lot!

Q: What is paint correction?

A: Paint Correction will get the swirls out of your paint and make the paint vibrant and reflective; making your paint look new again!

Q: What is one step polishing?

A: One step polishing is used for cars with minor swirls. It will make the car look much better, but some cars may need more than one step (compounding).

Q: Why do I need my car detailed? It doesn't look dirty...

A: Just because your car looks clean does not mean it is. There are swirls and other defects in your paint that make it less reflective and vibrant that a simple carwash cannot get out (especially the automatic carwashes that probably caused the majority of them).

Q: How often should I wash my car?

A: It depends on how bad/good of a condition your car is in, and how often you drive it. We have many different coupons and you can save more by buying the special contracts we have listed.

Q: Do you offer any discounts?

A: Yes, please see our Coupons Page for current offers!
